Since we were in Nagasaki, we wanted to try to visit Huis Ten Bosch. It’s a Holland Theme Park, and less crowded compared to Disney and Universal Studios.

The downside is, public transport to get here is also harder to compare to other theme parks. We took the highway bus to get there, and train back to Nagasaki.

One way took 1.5 hours and cost us 1,450-1,500 yen per adult. There are also fewer stores here, and fewer staff. We also bought a premium pass beforehand, because we thought it would be crowded. This theme park was gigantic, some said it was the biggest (or one of) in Japan!

They have several transportation inside the park: gondolas (free), bicycle (2,000 yen for first hour and 1,000 yen per next hour), and bus (we didn’t try but I think it’s free).

We didn’t have the chance to visit The Opera, instead we tried 2 of their performance shows.

They have 3 performance shows, and each show is differ with others. So we didn’t get bored, personally I loved the drum beat show.

The main show was spectacular: illumination with singers, fireworks, and snow. What a beautiful sight to behold!

After the show, we want to go home but get lost! We asked some staff, but still it’s hard to follow his instructions. Finally I remember to try using Google Maps and it feels a lot easier.

Overall, there are still many things to do: observatory, dinosaur area, opera show, etc. Maybe next time we’ll spend the night here, since it was so big and public transportation not as many as other theme parks.
